Chore coat in off-white cotton twill with stenciled decoration.
The beer jacket is the oldest one in the Committee on Princetoniana collection. The Class of 1922 stenciled a winged beer mug flying away on the back of their jackets as well as a slyly hidden hip flask over the right hip pocket. The two elements suggest that public beer drinking was a thing of the past but also that Prohibition had not eliminated the consumption of alcohol on campus.
