The curators of Princetonianamuseum.org hope to be able to create interactive maps of the campus that seamlessly progress from 1756 to the present. The task is challenging because of the need to compile a time series of maps that can provide a geometrically consistent evolving picture of campus. Although not interactive, this video demonstrates one visual approach.
This "morph" is based on two maps from Princeton's archives, one from 1875 and one from ~2015.
The blending of the two images into "morph" video is done with Squirlz-Morph.
The still photograph at the beginning shows East College, viewed from southeast, with Nassau Hall in the background, circa 1878.
