Wilcox Hall is the nucleus of a group of buildings on the south campus that house Woodrow Wilson College. It was completed in 1961 and named in honor of its donor, T. Ferdinand Wilcox '00, senior partner in a New York banking and brokerage firm, who was an officer of his class and a member of the Alumni Council. It contains dining facilities, lounges, conference rooms, overnight accommodations for guests, and a 12,000-book working library, named for Julian Street.
Renamed First College in 2020 by the trustees in reconsideration of the legacy of Woodrew Wilson, Wilcox was to be demolished in 2022 to make way for the new Hobson residential college.
